Translate PDF and Documents

Translate PDF, Word and text documents into 50+ languages on your device and save as PDF or DOCX.

Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.

How Translate PDF and Documents works

Translation uses the NLLB-200 distilled model through Transformers.js (ONNX Runtime Web). The model is about 900 MB, downloads once and is cached. NLLB weights are released by Meta under CC-BY-NC 4.0, so they are for personal, non-commercial use. The translated text is rebuilt as a clean document; the original layout and images are not kept.

Input: PDF, DOCX, EPUB, TXT, MD, HTML, RTF, ODT. Output: PDF, DOCX, TXT.

Translate PDF and Documents FAQ

Are my files uploaded?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
