File Splitter & Joiner

Split any big file into parts (.001, .002) by size or count, and join parts back into one file.

Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.

How File Splitter & Joiner works

Parts are plain byte slices of the original, read straight from disk, so even multi GB files never load into memory at once. Joining puts the parts in number order and writes one file. A SHA-256 checksum lets you prove nothing changed.

Input: Any file. Output: Parts, SHA256.

How to use File Splitter & Joiner

  1. Drop a file and pick a part size, or the number of parts.
  2. Download the parts (and the checksum).
  3. To rebuild, drop all parts on Join and download the joined file.

Tips

  • Parts made here also join with 7-Zip, copy /b on Windows, or cat on macOS and Linux.

File Splitter & Joiner FAQ

Are my files uploaded?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
