How XPS to PDF works
An XPS file is a ZIP of XML pages. Each page is translated to SVG: paths, solid, gradient and picture brushes, clipping, transforms and Glyphs text using the fonts stored in the file (including obfuscated ones). The browser draws the SVG and each page goes into a PDF as an image with an invisible text layer, so search and copy still work.
Input: XPS, OXPS. Output: PDF, PNG, SVG.
How to use XPS to PDF
- Drop an .xps or .oxps file.

Tips
- Pictures in JPEG XR format cannot be shown by browsers and are left out.
XPS to PDF FAQ
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
- Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
- Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
