Excel to CSV & JSON

Convert every sheet of many Excel or ODS workbooks to CSV, TSV, JSON or NDJSON in one go.

Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.

How Excel to CSV & JSON works

Files are opened in your browser with SheetJS and JSZip. Nothing is uploaded, and your original file is never changed. Each sheet becomes its own file. JSON can be rows as objects, arrays or columns, with dotted headers nested.

Input: XLSX, XLS, ODS, Numbers. Output: CSV, TSV, JSON, NDJSON, ZIP.

How to use Excel to CSV & JSON

  1. Drop the workbooks.
  2. Pick CSV, TSV, JSON or NDJSON.
  3. Set separator and JSON options.
  4. Press Convert and download.

Tips

  • Excel, ODS and CSV all work. Formulas are read as their last saved values.
  • For CSV files with odd characters, save them as UTF-8 first.
