How RTF Viewer and Converter works
RTF is rendered with rtf.js (MIT), which also draws old WMF and EMF pictures, then converted through HTML on your device.
Input: RTF, DOCX, ODT, HTML, MD, TXT. Output: PDF, DOCX, HTML, TXT, MD, RTF.
How to use RTF Viewer and Converter
- Open RTF Viewer and Converter and add your source file (or paste content where offered).
- Adjust page size, quality or layout options in the side panel.
- Check the live preview.
- Convert and download the result.
Tips
- Conversions run entirely in your tab, so very large files depend on your device’s memory.
- For best fidelity, start from the original digital file rather than a scan.
RTF Viewer and Converter FAQ
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
- Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
- Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
