Change Image Colours

Swap one colour for another or make a colour transparent, with tolerance and soft edges.

Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.

How Change Image Colours works

Every pixel close to the colour you pick (by a perceptual colour distance) is moved to the new colour, keeping its light and shadow if you want, or faded to transparent. A soft edge blends the border so it does not look cut out.

Input: JPG, PNG, WEBP. Output: PNG.

How to use Change Image Colours

  1. Drop an image.
  2. Click the image or a swatch to pick the colour to change.
  3. Pick the new colour or Transparent and adjust tolerance.
  4. Download the PNG.

Tips

  • Most image tools accept many files at once.
  • WebP and AVIF give much smaller files than JPG at the same visual quality.
  • Set a default image quality in Settings. Tools that do not choose their own quality use it.

Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
