GIF Maker
Turn a set of images into an animated GIF.
Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.
How GIF Maker works
GIF Maker runs entirely in your browser. Turn a set of images into an animated GIF. Under the hood it uses gifenc (a fast GIF encoder with palette quantization). Your files are read into this tab’s memory, processed on your own CPU, and handed back to you as a download. Nothing is sent to a server.
Input: JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, BMP.
How to use GIF Maker
- Drop one or more images onto GIF Maker.
- Tune the options. The before/after preview updates live.
- Process the batch.
- Download a single image, or everything as a ZIP.
Tips
- Most image tools accept many files at once.
- WebP and AVIF give much smaller files than JPG at the same visual quality.
- Set a default image quality in Settings. Tools that do not choose their own quality use it.
GIF Maker FAQ
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
- Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
- Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
