Vocal Remover (Karaoke)
Make a karaoke version of a stereo song and get a rough vocal track, right in your browser.
Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.
How Vocal Remover (Karaoke) works
It uses classic center-channel cancellation with the Web Audio API: sound that is identical in both channels (usually the lead vocal) is removed, and the bass is added back. It is not an AI stem splitter, so results depend on the mix.
Input: MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC. Output: MP3, M4A, OGG, WAV.
How to use Vocal Remover (Karaoke)
- Drop an audio file onto Vocal Remover (Karaoke) (or start recording).
- Adjust the options and preview playback.
- Process the audio.
- Download in the format you picked.
Tips
- WAV is lossless but large; MP3/AAC/OGG are compact for sharing.
- Engines load on first use and are cached afterwards.
Vocal Remover (Karaoke) FAQ
- Why can I still hear some vocals?
- Reverb and backing vocals are often spread across the stereo field, so they are not cancelled. Studio recordings with a dry, centered lead vocal work best.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
- Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
- Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
