Semver Calculator

Check versions against npm ranges like ^1.2 or ~2.0, compare, sort and bump semantic versions.

Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.

How Semver Calculator works

Versions are parsed by the Semantic Versioning 2.0 rules. Ranges use the npm syntax (caret, tilde, x, hyphen and ||) and are explained in plain words, and pre-releases only match when you allow them, like npm.

Input: Text. Output: Text.

How to use Semver Calculator

  1. Type a version to see its parts and next versions.
  2. Type a range to see if it matches.
  3. Paste a list to sort it and find the highest match.
