Diff & Patch Viewer
View unified diffs and .patch files side by side, and apply a patch to a file.
Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.
How Diff & Patch Viewer works
The patch is parsed into files and hunks, then shown side by side or as one column with old and new line numbers. Apply mode runs the first file of the patch against text you paste, allowing small offsets like git does.
Input: DIFF, PATCH, TXT. Output: TXT.
How to use Diff & Patch Viewer
- Paste git diff output or open a .patch file.
- Switch between side by side and unified.
- To apply it, open the original file in Apply mode and download the result.
Tips
- Everything is computed locally. Safe for tokens, keys and private data.
- Use Ctrl/⌘ + K to jump between developer tools quickly.
Diff & Patch Viewer FAQ
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
- Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
- Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
