MIDI Player and Converter

Play MIDI files, see the notes, mute tracks and render them to MP3 or WAV.

Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.

How MIDI Player and Converter works

MIDI is read with @tonejs/midi (MIT) and played by a small built-in synthesizer on the Web Audio API. Rendering uses an offline audio context, so long songs export faster than real time.

Input: MID, MIDI, KAR. Output: MP3, WAV, OGG.

How to use MIDI Player and Converter

  1. Drop an audio file onto MIDI Player and Converter (or start recording).
  2. Adjust the options and preview playback.
  3. Process the audio.
  4. Download in the format you picked.

Tips

  • WAV is lossless but large; MP3/AAC/OGG are compact for sharing.
  • Engines load on first use and are cached afterwards.

MIDI Player and Converter FAQ

Are my files uploaded?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
