LUFS Loudness Meter
Measure integrated LUFS, true peak and loudness range, then normalize for Spotify, YouTube or podcasts.
Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.
How LUFS Loudness Meter works
The audio is K-weighted and gated exactly as ITU-R BS.1770 and EBU R128 describe, in a background worker. True peak uses 4x oversampling. The platform table shows how much each service will turn your file up or down.
Input: MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, MP4. Output: WAV.
How to use LUFS Loudness Meter
- Drop an audio or video file.
- Read integrated loudness, true peak and range.
- Pick a platform and download a normalized WAV if you want.
Tips
- WAV is lossless but large; MP3/AAC/OGG are compact for sharing.
- Engines load on first use and are cached afterwards.
LUFS Loudness Meter FAQ
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
- Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
- Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
