E-Invoice Generator

Create EN 16931 e-invoices: Factur-X / ZUGFeRD PDF with embedded XML, or XRechnung in CII or UBL.

Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.

How E-Invoice Generator works

The invoice data is written as UN/CEFACT CII or UBL 2.1 XML. For Factur-X a readable invoice PDF is laid out with embedded fonts (or your own PDF is used), the XML is attached as factur-x.xml and the file is turned into PDF/A-3b with the required XMP metadata. Totals and key business rules are checked before export.

Input: Form, PDF, XML. Output: PDF, XML.

How to use E-Invoice Generator

  1. Drop your PDF onto the E-Invoice Generator area, or click to choose it.
  2. Wait a moment while page thumbnails render locally.
  3. Choose the pages and options you need. Previews update as you go.
  4. Press the main action button and download the finished PDF.

Tips

  • Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked first with Unlock PDF.
  • Large scanned PDFs are mostly images. Compress PDF shrinks them the most.
  • Your original file is never modified; you always download a new copy.

E-Invoice Generator FAQ

Is this accepted in Germany from 2025?
Factur-X / ZUGFeRD (EN 16931 profile) and XRechnung are the formats named for German B2B e-invoicing. Public bodies often require XRechnung with a Leitweg-ID as buyer reference.
Are my files uploaded?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
