Audio Tag Editor
Edit title, artist, album, year, genre, lyrics and cover art in MP3, M4A, FLAC and OGG files.
Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.
How Audio Tag Editor works
Tags are read with music-metadata (MIT). MP3 tags are written with browser-id3-writer (MIT), other formats with ffmpeg in copy mode, so the audio itself is not re-encoded.
Input: MP3, M4A, M4B, FLAC, OGG, OPUS, WAV, AAC. Output: MP3, M4A, M4B, FLAC, OGG, OPUS, WAV, AAC.
How to use Audio Tag Editor
- Drop a song.
- Edit the fields and pick a cover image.
- Save and download the tagged file.
Tips
- WAV is lossless but large; MP3/AAC/OGG are compact for sharing.
- Engines load on first use and are cached afterwards.
Audio Tag Editor FAQ
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
- Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
- Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
